Empowering Students and Improving Learning Through Midterm Student Feedback
Despite widespread use of end-of-semester course surveys, many community college instructors and staff recognize the limitations of this type of evaluation. In this session, explore midterm student feedback as a preferred evaluative method. The Cross Papers, Number 23, illustrates the differences between end-of-term and midterm evaluations in terms of their approach, philosophy, use, and foci, and presents models for gauging teaching and learning that focus on students’ experiences.
